Save the tab you're on

The criterio.design extension for Chrome, Arc, Edge and Brave. One click saves the site you're looking at to your library, with a screenshot, its title and its address. It also brings in your bookmarks, your bookmarks on X and your boards on Pinterest, Are.na or Cosmos.

Install it

  1. Download it

    It comes as a zip. It is not in the Chrome Web Store yet, so for now it is installed by hand.

  2. Load it in Chrome

    1. Unzip the file and leave the folder somewhere it can stay, such as Documents. Chrome runs the extension from that folder, and it stops working if the folder goes.
    2. Open this address in a new tab:chrome://extensions
    3. Turn on Developer mode, at the top right.
    4. Press Load unpacked and pick the folder you unzipped.

  3. Connect it to your account

    Once it is loaded, the extension opens its install page in criterio.design. Sign in and press Connect this browser. That makes a key for this browser. The key opens every workspace you belong to, and you can revoke it in Settings.

  4. Save your first site

    Open a site you like, click the criterio.design icon in the toolbar and press Save. If the icon is not there, it is behind the puzzle piece: pin it from there.
